ZoneIn lets you block the apps and websites you choose. You can start a focus session right away or set a recurring schedule. If you need out early, use one of your free weekly Emergency Passes to pause your blocks for the duration you choose in Settings.

No. ZoneIn’s blocking, scheduling, dashboard, and customization features are free. You also get 3 free Emergency Passes every week. If you use all 3 and want another temporary break before they reset, that additional Zone Out break requires a one-time tip purchase. You can keep using ZoneIn or wait for the weekly reset without paying.

Emergency Passes temporarily pause your active blocks. You choose a default duration in Settings, from 5 minutes up to 24 hours. You get 3 free passes every calendar week, and unused passes do not roll over. When a pass ends, your blocks are designed to re-engage automatically.

Passes reset every week. After you use all 3, another temporary Zone Out break before the reset requires a successful one-time tip purchase. The available tip options unlock breaks of about 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 24 hours. The purchase is optional—you can keep using ZoneIn without another break or wait for your passes to reset.

No. ZoneIn has no subscriptions and no ads. Tips are one-time consumable purchases, not recurring charges. A Settings tip is a contribution; a tip purchased from Zone Out after your free passes are used also unlocks the displayed temporary break.

You can block apps, app categories, websites, and website categories.

Yes. If you change your mind, you can lock back in early and turn your blocks back on.

Yes. The Shield Designer in Settings lets you customize the title, message, button text, background color, and icon shown over blocked apps. You can use the ZoneIn icon, an emoji, no icon, or a photo you explicitly choose. A prepared copy of that photo stays on your device.

Strict Mode is an optional setting for people who want blocks that really hold. When it's on, apps (including ZoneIn) can't be uninstalled during an active block, and schedules can't be changed while an Emergency Pass is active. When it's off, ZoneIn generally lets you adjust or turn off your schedules during a pass, subject to iOS behavior.

When Strict Mode is off, iOS generally lets you edit or disable your blocks and delete ZoneIn. When Strict Mode is on during an active block, app removal can be restricted device-wide, including for ZoneIn. Do not rely on uninstalling, an Emergency Pass, or a paid break as your emergency-access plan.

Yes. Your blocks can keep running even when the main app is not open.

No. ZoneIn does not use IDFA, does not do cross-app tracking, and does not sell your personal information for advertising. Most of the core app data stays on your device.

No. ZoneIn is built for self-control on your own device, not for managing someone else’s phone.

ZoneIn is for iPhone.

No. Don’t block anything you may need urgently, like health, safety, banking, password manager, two-factor authentication, travel, or work apps.

If you allow notifications, ZoneIn may schedule a warning before a recurring block begins and a one-time setup reminder if you have not created a block. These are local app reminders, not advertising messages, and you can turn them off in iOS Settings.
