FAQ
Straight answers before you download ZoneIn.
How does ZoneIn work?
ZoneIn lets you block the apps and websites you choose. You can start a focus session right away or set a recurring schedule. If you want out early, you can buy a temporary override.
Do I have to pay to use it?
No. You only pay if you choose to break your own block. If you stick to your rule, you pay nothing.
Is there a subscription?
No. ZoneIn uses one-time override purchases, not a subscription.
What can I block?
You can block apps, app categories, websites, and website categories.
Can I end an override early?
Yes. If you change your mind, you can lock back in early and turn your blocks back on.
Can I just uninstall the app?
If uninstall prevention is turned on, app removal can be blocked during an active block. That applies device-wide, not just to ZoneIn. App removal opens back up when the block ends or while an override is active.
Does it still work if the app is closed?
Yes. Your blocks can keep running even when the main app is not open.
Does it use my data for ads or tracking?
No. ZoneIn does not use IDFA, does not do cross-app tracking, and does not sell your personal information for advertising. Most of the core app data stays on your device.
Is this a parental control app?
No. ZoneIn is built for self-control on your own device, not for managing someone else’s phone.
What devices does it support?
ZoneIn is for iPhone.
Should I block critical apps?
No. Don’t block anything you may need urgently, like health, safety, banking, password manager, two-factor authentication, travel, or work apps.
Does it send notifications?
Not right now. ZoneIn can ask for notification permission, but it does not currently send push notifications or schedule local alerts.
